Tarra Trail

Yarram to Alberton

Follow the historic Great Southern Railway route through farmland with views of the Strzelecki Ranges and Wilsons Promontory. This easy to ride trail is perfect for young children and it's close to seaside Port Albert for a post-ride meal.

Distance: 5.6 km one way
Track: Generally smooth dirt or gravel track
Grade: Level 1 – No experience required, suitable for beginners and children.
Start: Wesley Street, Yarram
Finish: Primary School No.1, Alberton
Note: This trail is suitable for all bikes and is also a shared pathway. Take care at the well signposted crossing of the South Gippsland Highway.

Getting there: Travel via Monash Freeway (M1) and South Gippsland Highway (A440) to Yarram approximately 220 km south-east of Melbourne.
