Tarra Valley Rainforest Walk

Tarra Bulga National Park is known for giant mountain ash trees and ancient myrtle beeches, and you could spot a lyrebird on the walk through lush fern glades and rainforest to Cyathea Falls.

Distance: 1.4 km return, 35 min
Grade: Level 2 –  No experience required. The track is hardened gravel or compacted surface and may have a gentle hill section or sections and some steps. Walks up to 10 km.
Getting there: Tarra Bulga National Park and the Tarra Valley are 180 km south-east of Melbourne. Drive south from Yarram along Traralgon Creek Road (C483), north from Yarram along Tarra Valley Road (C484), or via Grand Ridge Road from either Carrajung or Mirboo North and then onto Tarra Valley Road. The walk starts at the Tarra Valley picnic area.
